Iron Mountain Document Prep/Scanner in West Columbia, South Carolina

As a trusted partner to our clients there is a requirement that our Mountaineers must be vaccinated.

This role is primarily responsible for performing the document preparation tasks. This role is vital in initiating the imaging process and obtaining our conversion objectives. The role receives, analyzes, prepares the paper/ envelopes and applies sorts to each document received per rules sets provided.

Shift: Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Day to day:

Open envelopes

Analyze contents and apply business rule sets assigned

Prepare documents for high speed scanning such as unfold creases, repair tears, removes staples/paper clips

Sorts incoming mail for distribution

Ability to apply multiple rule sets for variety of document types during the sorting process

Apply Stamps as needed

Accountable for the accuracy of each document sort and ability to meet production speed targets

Follow production procedures and complete internal documentation & tracking.

Adhere to the Imaging Center guidelines of maintaining clean work environment

Other duties, as specified by Supervisor/Manager

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

  • As a trusted partner to our clients there is a requirement that our Mountaineers must be vaccinated.

  • Proficiency in reading, writing and communicating in English

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers and management

  • Must be able to understand the importance of detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work a a sustained pace to meet production rates while producing quality work

  • Must be acceptable of change and long durations of project assignments

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

  • This role is responsible for their job assignments and the success of those assignments

  • This role requires very minimal external contact and will communicate predominately with Imaging Center personnel. This communication will consists of providing person production updates and job specific questions/clarifications

  • Ability to review other’s work and apply quality control procedures

  • Ability to work flexible hours

  • Ability to manage workload to meet deadlines as incoming volume shifts

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent

  • Applicants selected for this position must meet eligibility requirements for access to customer information regulated by the ITAR. Only US Persons are eligible for this level clearance, hence for this position, Iron Mountain will consider only US Persons.
